- To explore which strategies are the most relevant, viable and offer the greatest potential impact – both waste diversion and socio-economic value-added – for NL.
- To identify a few “actionable opportunities” – current feasible opportunities for combining and using organic waste materials from sources primarily associated with the forestry, fisheries, aquaculture and agriculture/food sectors – as well as promising ideas that may need additional discussions or research to develop further.
- To inform and advance policy discussions within NL that support the development of these opportunities and, more broadly, enable the adoption of waste-to-value approaches for organic waste streams.

Who is invited to participate?
This is a public forum. Anyone with an interest and who can make a contribution to the dialogue is invited to register and participate. In particular, the Planning Team encourages participation by individuals from forestry, agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture, government, academia, research institutions and other organizations with an interest in exploring potential “waste-to-value” opportunities for organic waste streams associated with the forestry, fisheries, aquaculture and agriculture/food sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador.
What is the cost?
There is no registration fee for the Forum. Lunch and snacks will be provided to all attendees.
